The waters of the Ladonas River spring form a small and beautiful lake
On Saturday morning November 10th two bold cavedivers, Antonis Grafas and Fontas Pitsinelis, along with Fonta’s students Erikos Kranidiotis kai Stelios Stamatakis dived in the springs of Ladona’s river. It is a difficult dive as they stated, shaped like a cone and descending downhill till 46 meters deep. The week before, Giannis Liardakis, also participated in the project. Saturdays dive was mostly to recon the cave. On Sunday, November the 11th 2018 they repeated the dive, to map the cave of Ladonas, reaching once more 46 meters depth, but it seems the cave continues even more. Murky waters, a passage of 3 to 4 meters wide were the main characteristics of the entrance. They also got to play around with the special Ladona’s trouts.
